Acer announces the Aspire 5 Gaming Laptop for ₹62,990

Acer has announced the Acer Aspire 5, powered by 12th generation Intel Core i5 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 with 4GB of DDR6 VRAM. The Aspire 5 will be priced at Rs. 62,990, making it an affordable option for anyone looking for a laptop for gaming and multitasking. The laptop is available now at store.acer.com, Amazon and Croma.

The Acer Aspire 5 is powered by NVIDIA RTX 2050 and runs on NVIDIA Optimus technology, which is reported to improve battery life without compromising performance.

As far as aesthetics are concerned, the Acer Aspire is a thin and light laptop that doesn’t stand out too much and wouldn’t look out of place in a business environment. The Aspire is designed as a one-stop shop for all your multi-tasking needs, as evidenced by the hardware inside.

Other specifications include dual-channel DDR4 RAM that supports up to 32GB of memory. For storage, you get up to 2TB of expandable space via dual expandable SSDs. The laptop has two fans and two copper heat pipes to keep it cool. Even the keyboard has air inlets that draw air in to keep the laptop cool.

When it comes to the screen, the Acer Aspire 5 has a Full HD IPS display with a screen-to-case ratio of 81.18%. Other features include Acer Color Intelligence for dynamic color optimization and Acer BlueLightShield to prevent eye strain by reducing blue light.

The laptop also comes with a 720p webcam and a fingerprint reader, which you can use for added security.

In terms of connectivity and ports, the Acer Aspire 5 offers 6E Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and a Thunderbolt 4 port. There are also three USB Type A ports and an HDMI 2.0 port. The Thunderbolt 4 port is a special feature.  Great for multitasking, not so much for gaming.
