Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 are Upgraded with 12th generation Intel processors and DDR5 RAM

Dell has upgraded its XPS 15 and XPS 17 notebooks with 12th-generation Intel Alder Lake H-series processors, with options up to the Core i9-12900HK available for both models. Dell also benefits from support for DDR5RAM in 12th generation Intel processors, and the two new XPS devices will feature faster 4800 DDR5 RAM (up to 64GB).

The Dell XPS 15 (2022)

DELL XPS 15 has a 15.6-inch full HD screen and will be available in OLED with 400 nits (touchscreen) and IPS LCD with 500 nits (non-touchscreen). The OLED panel has received Display HDR 500 certification. Storage capacity is up to 512GB SSD, and users can opt for RTX 3050Ti (40W) graphics with 4GB VRAM. The XPS 15 is available with a 56WHr and 86WHr battery.

Dell XPS 15 (2022) price starts at $ 1,449. 

Dell XPS 17 (2022)

The DELL XPS 17 (2022) is available in the same CPU configurations as the XPS 15 (2022). However, users also can go up to the RTX 3060 (60W) with 6GB of VRAM. The XPS 17 does not have an OLED option, as 17-inch OLED panels are not produced. The top display option is a 4K IPS LCD screen with 100% Adobe RGB color space coverage. Both the touchscreen and non-touch models of the XPS 17 come with a 97WHr battery.

DELL XPS 17 price starts at $1,849. 

However Both the XPS 15 and XPS 17 have a range of connectivity options, including an integrated microSD card slot, a combined 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, two USB Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. These Type-C ports support the display port and USB power.

The RTX 3060 option for the Dell XPS 17 will be available later. All other models will be available in some markets from 31 March.
