Snapchat introduced a dual camera feature Monday that allows Snapchatters to capture multiple perspectives or themes simultaneously.
There are four layouts for the dual camera: vertical, horizontal, and picture-in photo.
Snapchatters can add their favorite Snapchat creative tools, such as music, stickers, and lenses, according to the company.
Snap’s parent company stated that Dual Camera will be available worldwide on iOS today with Android support in the coming months.
This is how it works. You’ll find a new icon in your camera toolbar when you open Snapchat.
You can create Snaps and Stories with just one tap or more polished Spotlight video clips with twice the perspective.
The company stated that Dual Camera was a creative way for the community to capture memorable moments and be part of the memories.
Snap has also created a reward program for Spotlight creators, in which millions of dollars are made available to Snapchatters, who create top Spotlight Snaps.
The company stated, “Share what you create with Dual Camera on Spotlight or, if inspiration strikes fast, create a Snap or Story.”
Snap announced this month that Snapchat+, its premium service, has reached 1,000,000 subscribers. The platform also began rolling out new features to customize the user’s experience.
