Three Netflix games co-developed with Ubisoft to be distributed starting in 2023

Popular video distribution platforms Netflix and Ubisoft announced Monday that they have partnered to develop three mobile games for Netflix from a game franchise that will begin in 2023.

The three games, which will expand the worlds of Valiant Hearts, Mighty Quest, and Assassin’s Creed, will be available exclusively to Netflix members worldwide from their mobile phones, with no advertising or in-app purchases.

We are thrilled to be working with Ubisoft, which has a proven track record of creating amazing worlds for its fans,” said Mike Verdu, vice president of games at Netflix.

Verdu added: “This partnership will offer our members exclusive access to the most exciting game franchises as we continue to build our catalogue of incredible mobile games for our members around the world.”

The new game is a sequel to Valiant Hearts. The Great War, Ubisoft’s award-winning game, will be led by the original core team and feature the same DNA, but with a new storyline; it will be available to Netflix members in January 2023.

Following the successful mobile game The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, The Mighty Quest is coming to Netflix in 2023 as a brand new game. This time, the game will offer a new gameplay style, drawing inspiration from the “roguelike” genre and commemorating the series’ first hack-and-slash combat experience.

Assassin’s Creed fans also have more ways to immerse themselves in the world of Assassin’s Creed on Netflix. In addition to the previously announced live-action series, a new mobile game is available exclusively on Netflix.

We are thrilled to be working with such an innovative and creative partner as Netflix as we continue to create incredible experiences across all platforms,” said Jean-Michel Detok, Head of Mobile at Ubisoft.
