Know Reliance Jio’s technology partners in the 5G rollout mission for India

Reliance Jio is preparing to launch standalone 5G services in major metro cities by Diwali this year. The company has also partnered with some of the most powerful technology companies in the 5G collaboration.

Jio was a partner of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg’s former Facebook, for immersive technology. However, the company has teamed up with Google to create ultra-affordable 5G smartphones.

Jio has partnered with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud to create a vibrant cloud ecosystem for millions of cloud-enabled businesses.

The company selected Intel chip-maker Intel to build cloud-scale data centers and 5G edge sites. It also has strong relationships with top global network technology providers such as Ericsson and Nokia.

Jio also collaborated with Qualcomm to create 5G solutions in India that can be used around the globe.

JioAirFiber allows people to eliminate the need to purchase computer hardware and periodically upgrade it. Instead, they can use a virtual PC hosted on the cloud called JioCloud PC.

There is no upfront cost or the tension of periodic upgrading. This makes it super-affordable to provide the power of multiple computers to Indian homes and businesses.

Meta and Jio Platforms announced the launch of the first-ever end-to-end shopping experience via WhatsApp. Consumers can shop at JioMart from within their WhatsApp chat.

Jio will launch 5G services by Diwali in four major metro cities: Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, as well as Chennai.

They will rapidly expand to other cities and towns, extending coverage to the whole country by December 2023.
